Description
The story of two brothers, Elmer and Pedro, is a tale about sibling rivalry and personal growth. They lived together in the forest and always found reasons to argue and fight. However, one night, Elmer decided that he was tired of the constant conflict and offered his bed to Peter. Pedro, skeptical of his brother’s gesture, assumed that Elmer had ulterior motives.
The next morning, Elmer went to the forest looking for a solution to his problems. A Yellow Lion appeared and offered Elmer 100 nuts, telling him to eat them whenever Pedro wanted to fight him. Perplexed, Elmer took the nuts and returned home. When Pedro provoked him about going alone to get breakfast, Elmer took a nut from his pocket and began to eat it. This disconcerted Pedro, who went to his bed without saying anything.
The next day, Elmer served Pedro breakfast with the bananas he had brought, and Pedro responded with a sarcastic comment. Once again, Elmer ate a nut, avoiding an argument. As the days passed, Elmer became calmer and more peaceful, using the nuts to avoid fighting.
After a week, Elmer returned to the forest to seek advice from the Yellow Lion. The lion explained that sometimes silence is the best way to grow and offered Elmer guidance and wisdom. Through the story of Elmer and Pedro, readers can learn the importance of self-control, personal growth, and the value of silence to avoid unnecessary conflict.
